San Francisco Examiner "Letters from Readers" April 11, 2008
By Ruth E. Wheeler

April 11, 2008

So it is noble to help keep renters in their homes by subsidy, according to Thursday letter-writer Joe Mac? But building-owner Gibbs, 76, should sell his house he lived in for over 30 years and move to Iowa, where it is more affordable? That is messed up. Even highly regulated PG&E is allowed to make a profit, yet Gibbs cannot have that "luxury" Rent-control rules totally ignore his need to keep financially above water.
