ACTION ALERT! (AGAIN!)
Chris Daly's four items to gain a further hold on your property are going to be discussed before the Government Audit and Oversight Committee of the Board of Supervisors ( Supv. Mar, Maxwell, and Mirkarimi).
The legislation will remove your ability to limit the number of people in your rental; will limit banked increases; will limit rent increases so rent does not exceed 33% of your renter's income - with no mechanism for verifying income. Housing providers outnumbered actual renters by a huge margin at the last hearing, and we need to make an even bigger showing this time. Be prepared to object to these outrages with reasonable arguments about the hardships to other renters and to our buildings. You could mention how much it costs city government to fight unconstitutional measures in the courts. Most important is your presence and your individual statement
