We need your help NOW. The district elections for the San Francisco Board
of Supervisors will determine the direction of the City for the next 4-8
years. Will we have more of the same of the last 8 years or will we have a
Board of Supervisors that also listens to our concerns? That is up to you.
Because of term limits, 4 districts are open seats, the other 3 have
incumbents running for reelection.
It is difficult to defeat an incumbent, so we have decided to focus our
attention on the open seats. The 3 districts that we have decided to focus
on are Districts 1, 3 and 11. Those are the districts in which we have a
better chance of electing a moderate candidate. District 9 will be a more
difficult district to elect a moderate. Our endorsed candidates NEED your
help. Please volunteer or send money. If you cannot do that, put a sign in
your window. Anything that you can do will help these candidates win
November 4, and bring fairness to City Hall. Your help will be appreciated
by them. You do not have to live in the district to help. All of our
endorsed candidates want to work with us. If you do nothing, you have no
right to complain after the election if we get a Board of Supervisors that
is hostile to our concerns. It is up to YOU. A few hours over the next 6
weeks could make the difference! Be sure to tell them that you are from
SPOSF when you volunteer or send in a check!
