1. Editor of SPOSFNews - Define the scope of articles and features, Direct writers to submit assignments in a timely manner, Work closely with the SPOSF and SPOSF I Boards and publication team. Good writing and proof-reading skills are essential.
2. Perform Web Site Updates - Easy to use tools make it easy to manage web site content on SMALLPROP.ORG . Work with the SPOSF and SPOSF I Leadership to keep the site vibrant and current.
3. Monitor Interactive Forums - The new web site has many opportunities for members to have open dialogs. Volunteers with specialized knowledge in rental property subjects are needed to keep frequent tabs on Fencepost Chatter, and other areas, to lend their expertise and to help ensure a civil discourse on the site.
Contact info@smallprop.org for more information. We can't do it without you!
SPOSF is only as strong as the commitment of its volunteers.
- Write letters, emails, and make phone calls when you receive an action alert. A few letters may go unnoticed but hundreds shut down bad legislation.
- Answer our phones, lick stamps, input data or do other organizational work.
- Track legislation in Sacramento or at City Hall and alert our Board (we'll supply training).
- Join our Sacramento or Membership Committees, or our Speakers' Bureau.
- Write articles or take photos for our monthly newsletter.
- Get out your checkbook when we need financial help (we don't ask often).
- Recruit five of your friends and neighbors to join SPOSF.
- Write letters to the editor of local newspapers about our issues, particularly when inaccurate or biased reports or opinion pieces appear in print.
If every member volunteered just 12 hours a year (one hour a month), many problems we now face would be resolved.
If you're able to help with ANY of these important tasks, or if you have special skills or expertise, please contact us.
