SPOSF ACTION ALERT: Help oppose State Assembly Bill AB 934
URGENT NEED FOR EMAILS AND CALLS! AB 934 is again moving through our California Legislature. We must stop this egregious violation of our rights to carry on legal business practices! Most businesses and individuals are protected from libel lawsuits for statements made in court filings (litigation privilege). If this bill, introduced by Assemblyman Mike Feuer, passes, housing providers would no longer have protection against lawsuits for libel for statements made on court documents. For example, we could be sued for statements made on an eviction complaint, even before the eviction judgment is issued by the courts.
