ACTION ALERT
Dear SPOSFI Members:
We need your help in defeating SB 1439. This bill will be heard at the State Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee this coming Wednesday, June 18, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The room at the State Capitol is 126. CAA will do all the talking but you can approach the microphone and give your name and say "in opposition to the measure." It is important for our numbers are greater than those of the tenants' groups.
You can drive to Sacramento yourself with a couple of friends, or you can join the bus (or buses) we are renting. Let us know at info@smallprop.org if you are driving up independently or if you want a seat on the bus.
Our bus is tentavely leaving at 6:30 am from St Mary's Cathedral - free parking in their lot.
We have already killed the Ammiano Bill and now it is time to kill the Leno measure that would weaken the Ellis Act.
