Three SPOSF members will be interviewed by Ida Choy, Sing Tao Radio Program Director, Tuesday, September 20, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. This station is at 1400AM radio.

Ida Choy's popular program is widely received in the Bay Area. SPOSF will be represented by; Josephine Zhao, Don Gibbs and Marlene Tran.

• Josephine Zhao is SPOSF's Chinese community outreach volunteer.  She is a native Chinese speaker and encourages Chinese American voters to endorse moderates.  She contributes to the San Francisco Singtao Daily OpEd column on political and property ownership issues.  She holds a M.S. degree on Computer Science from Colorado State University.
   
• Professor Don Gibbs is one of the original signers of SPOSF's incorporation charter. He has lived in San Francisco from 1936--before the two bridges were connected. He grew up in the Mission District.  He has a PhD in Chinese and is founder and chairman of the Department of Chinese and Japanese at UC Davis. He has taught both at Harvard and UC Davis.  He is a small prop owner since 1999. For nine years had a five-unit apartment house that lost thousands of dollars every year because of rent control laws, in effect subsidizing tenants from his Social Security, pension income and savings. He will speak in Mandarin about rent control issues and SPOSF's activities.

• Marlene Tran first contributed to SPOSF shortly after its founding. She retired after more than 30 years of full-time teaching at San Francisco Unified School District, and part-time at CCSF. She was formerly elected to the 12th DCCC and served two terms as Mayor Willie Brown's appointee to the Immigrant Rights Commission. She is a rental property owner and lives in D10. She moved to Visitacion Valley more than 20 years ago
